Description
For owners of microfourthirs prime lenses or zoom lenses, the MFT-Retro opens up the world of extreme close-up photography with outstanding quality.
The MFT-Retro allows you to mount the lens in reverse position on the camera. The ring transfers all control functions.
The MFT-Retro adapter can be used with prime focal and zoom lenses. However, the use of zoom lenses is strongly recommended. By default, the reverse adapter comes with a 58 mm filter thread. Step rings are available for other filter sizes.
The image quality is the decisive factor. In case of magnification factors larger than the life size (1: 1), the reverse mounting of the lens results in a noticeably better image quality compared to normal use. E.g. In the case of using a camera with the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital Zoom Ed 12-100 mm / 1: 4.0 is PRO lens in the reverse mount and a focal length of 15 mm, an image scale of almost 4: 1 will be achieved. For example, using the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital Ed 12-100 mm / 1.4.0 is PRO in conjunction with the Balpro 1 bellows unit with full extension and a focal length of 40 mm an image scale of 6:1 can be achieved. The combination of MFT-Retro with a universal bellows from the Balpro or Castbal series makes the bellows a full-fledged automatic bellows unit.
To protect the sensitive rear lens element, we supply a high quality, multi-layer protection filter "made in Germany" that comes with the MFT-Retro (Olympus, Panasonic).
